Get Involved in 2012! Join a Committee

We are looking for active, fun loving and “engaged” members who want to enhance their networking and leadership skills by rolling up their sleeves and working on a Committee.   The Pewaukee Chamber is a business organization composed of members  YOU committed to education, advocacy and growing their businesses.  These Committees serve as the “backbone” working element of the chamber carrying out this mission.    “Give to Get” Without these Committees working hard  – there would be no Chamber!

Coupon Book Committee: Purpose: Create a coupon book made up of advertisements from current members to promote within the community, encouraging the concept of “supporting our local businesses”. Actively meet during February and March. Book ready for distribution in April.

Program Committee: Purpose: Plan/organize monthly lunches, breakfasts, and networking events in the evening. Find Locations for Events, Ensure programs are of quality caliber and market programs within chamber to ensure maximum attendance. Meeting time to be decided by members.

Ambassador Committee: Purpose: Welcome Members at Events and provide orientations to the Chamber for New Members. Serve as “mentors” to other chamber members. Meet first Tuesday of month over lunch hour 12:00 – 1:00 at Chamber.

Texas Hold Em Committee: Purpose: Provide a fun networking event for chamber members as well as a fund raiser for the chamber. Not formed yet but we have a possible Coordinator who will need help.

Academy Award Gala Committee: Purpose: This Committee develops and promotes the program, selects the winners, solicits raffle items, silent auction items, door prizes and sponsorships. Serves as a celebration of successes and chamber fund raiser. Meets from Sept – January.

Membership Committee: Purpose: Recruit new Chamber members. Meets second Friday of the month over noon.

Membership Services Committee: Purpose: To call and meet with existing members to determine how the chamber can better meet and serve their needs. The business Xchange column in the newsletter grew from this concept. Not formed yet.

Education Committee: Purpose: Explore partnerships with schools to educate children about our local businesses through tours, career days, and scholarships.

July 4 Committee: Purpose: Create day of events to celebrate this holiday as well as a chamber fund raiser. Not formed yet.

3 in 1 Expo: Community Expo, Wellness Fair, Job Fair – possibly held same Saturday as Business Trick or Treating (Oct. 20) – get retail businesses on Capital Drive to participate/involved.
